Open days at Masaryk University
On 27.1 and 30.1 2024 we took part in the open days, where we presented the new follow-up master's degree programme in virology for the first time.
On both days we had a stand in connection with the Department of Microbiology, as the upcoming new program is currently being designed as one of the master's programme options for current or future students studying microbiology as a bachelor's degree.
We explained to the applicants what to expect when studying virology, what subjects need to be completed, what they will learn and what further employment opportunities they will have. We tried to demonstrate everything on site, using different samples, 3D models, BSL3/BSL4 suits and presentations on possible topics.
We enjoyed the open days and are already looking forward to welcoming the first students in the new virology program!
