Our PhD student Míša presented her work at the European Congress of Virology in Cavtat/Dubrovnik, where she showcased her poster focused on visualizing tick-borne encephalitis virus (TBEV) infection directly in mouse tissues. Her project attracted attention for its use of advanced imaging techniques to explore viral pathogenesis in vivo.

Professor Daniel Růžek, head of our laboratory, was invited to give lectures at two major international events: the ESCMID Global: Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases Conference in Vienna and the World Society for Virology Congress in Kuala Lumpur. At both venues, he presented our recent findings on TBEV and other flaviviruses and discussed emerging challenges in arbovirus research.

These meetings provided excellent opportunities for scientific networking, sharing new ideas, and exploring potential collaborations. We are proud to have represented our lab on the global stage and look forward to the opportunities these connections may bring in the near future.
