New paper in OUP Synthetic Biology!
We’re thrilled to share that our new paper, “Construction of a syntrophic Pseudomonas putida consortium with reciprocal substrate processing”, has just been published in the Oxford University Press journal Synthetic Biology. In this work, we introduce a novel strategy for engineering stable interactions between bacterial strains, which we call reciprocal substrate processing. This approach opens new possibilities for designing robust synthetic consortia for basic research and biotechnological applications.
A huge congratulations to Barbora Burýšková, the first author of the study, for her excellent work - this achievement also marks a major milestone as she can now complete her PhD!
We also congratulate Barča Popelářová and Barča Gavendová (co-authors) and would like to thank our collaborators Ángel Goñi-Moreno and Jesús Miró-Bueno from CNB-CSIC in Madrid for their invaluable contributions on the side of consortium modeling.
