MBL welcomes a new researcher Miguel Silva
Miguel Ferreira da Silva from Portugal joined our laboratory in August and will work with us as a postdoctoral researcher starting in September. Miguel pursued his successful Ph.D. research at the University of Minho (Portugal) where he explored factors that mediate Plasmodium falciparum drug response and introduced methods for genetic engineering of this protozoan parasite. In MBL, he will engineer Pseudomonas putida and other environmental bacteria for biodegradation and valorization of organic polymeric substrates. We are glad you´re finally with us in Brno, Miguel!
