MBL awarded a new GAČR grant!
Thanks to the Grant Agency of the Czech Republic for the beautiful Christmas present and thanks to all my colleagues and students for their work and enthusiasm for science, which help us to succeed even in such a high quality competition and with such uncertainty, which is due to the stagnant support for science in the Czech Republic in recent years.
Our project A new strategy for the assembly of biocatalytic scaffolds on bacterial surface for facilitated processing of polymeric waste will be funded for next three years.
We will do our best to capitalize on the repeatedly placed trust and do great research that will move us forward and be both fulfilling and fun. Together with other colleagues from Masaryk University and Brno University of Technology, we want to prove in the next few years that the Czech Republic is also charged in the field of microbial environmental and industrial biotechnology and that ideas are being generated in these disciplines that will attract and stand up not only in our country, but also in Europe and worldwide.
