Matúš is visiting Pablo Nikel’s group at DTU Biosustain in Denmark

Our PhD student Matúš Pešta is embracing the windy Nordic weather for the next three months as he enjoys his PhD stay at DTU Biosustain, one of the best biotechnology centers in the world. He is working in the System Environmental Laboratory led by our friend Pablo I. Nikel, where he is dissecting Pseudomonas putida minicells and designing genetic circuits to enable targeted physiological changes in these tiny chromosome-free cell factories.
Besides this, Matúš has already cycled several dozen kilometres – just like a “true Dane” would do, and he is looking forward to exploring hidden gems in and around Copenhagen.
