Martin defended his diploma thesis
GREAT NEWS! Martin successfully defended his Master's thesis entitled "Comparison of bioproduction capabilities of recombinant Pseudomonas putida strains with exogenous phosphoketolase pathway during growth on D-xylose". In the subsequent state examination of the study programme Microbiology, he succeeded with honours. Congratulations!
Martin has been a member of MBL since his undergraduate studies, and in his thesis he investigated the engineering of the heterologous phosphoketolase pathway in P. putida during growth on xylose. The effect of this synthetic pathway was validated on P. putida's inherent ability to accumulate polyhydroxyalkanoates.
