Werner von Siemens Prize 2024
In a huge competition, when 246 dissertations were submitted, Nikola took 5th place in Smart Infrastructure and Energy category. The competition is not only about excellence, but above all about topics that focus on pressing problems of humanity. The topic that Nikola tackled was : The application of anaerobic cultivation techniques in applied geomicrobiology.
The beautiful placement is all the more valuable because the evaluation panels are composed of distinguished representatives of universities and the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. 51 experts and representatives of academia sat on the independent juries. In terms of its scope, the amount of financial rewards and its history, the Werner von Siemens Prize is one of the most important independent initiatives of this kind in the Czech Republic.
