LAM recently presented at a EVHA workshop on the topic of microbial contamination in central air handling systems in residential buildings, as part of the TACR project, in collaboration with Alkion and VUT. The project, focuses on identifying microorganisms that could potentially harm human health and degrade indoor air quality. Using advanced molecular biological techniques, the research monitors these contaminants and lays the foundation for developing effective monitoring and maintenance systems to improve indoor environmental quality in residential buildings.
The lecture, titled Proteinogenic amino acid production by methanogenic archaea, focused on the ability of methanogenic archaea to produce proteinogenic amino acids and the potential applications of this process in sustainable biotechnology and bio-based production systems.
LAM participated in the 13th International Symposium on Anaerobic Microbiology, held on September 22-25 in Leipzig, Germany.
