Summer School: Exploring Microbial Processes
Our Laboratory of Anaerobic Microorganisms (LAM) is excited to participate in the 2025 Masaryk University Summer School in Brno, taking part in the two‑week “Exploring Microbial Processes” course, held 13–26 July 2025. This intensive English‑taught programme offers students hands‑on experience in key microbiological and biotechnological techniques—from aerobic and anaerobic cultivation and gas chromatography to next‑generation sequencing and bioinformatic analysis. Under the guidance of instructors, participants will design experiments, prepare sequencing libraries, and analyze microbial communities. As a lab specializing in anaerobic microorganisms—especially methanogenic archaea and sulfate‑reducing bacteria—LAM’s involvement underscores our commitment to advancing education and research in microbial processes, environmental biotechnology, and anaerobic microbiology.
