New research project TAČR

30 Nov 2023

Development of a universal device for the analysis and cleaning of residential air conditioning systems

The project is focused on the ventilation of apartment buildings. The project aims to determine the necessity for cleaning of already operated air ducts, which potentially poses a risk of microbiological pollution and thus endangers the health of residents. An analysis of the airflow in the building will be performed based on measurement of weather conditions and CFD analyses. Furthermore, the collection and analysis of microorganisms found in air conditioning will be performed to identify potentially pathogenic bacteria and microscopic fungi that could cause health problems to residents. The main goal is to design universal cleaning equipment for air conditioning pipes, which will enable cleaning, disinfection and analysis of pollution of pipes of various diameters and shapes.
