At this biogas plant we have a small 5m3 fermenter for our experiments. This station is also interesting because it has one of the few functional technologies for the physical treatment of biogas into biomethane, which is then injected into the gas pipeline.
Throughout March, we focused on preparing five project proposals covering important topics in environmental microbiology. These included microbially induced corrosion, reducing methane emissions in agriculture, and the role of sulfate-reducing bacteria in the intestinal tract.
LAM members conducted microbiology practica for the Masaryk University Junior University (MjUNI).
