Barbora, Eva, Monika and Simon successfully defended their master theses

LAM students successfully defended their master theses. Theses topics were Barbora Dvorakova - "Microbiological air quality in the ventilation systems of residential buildings", Eva Kotrlova - "The role of Methanothermobacter thermautothropicus in microbially influenced corrosion", Monika Hamšíková - "Saponification products in the wastewater treatment process", Simon Snajdr - "Bacterial hydrocarbons degradation in aerobic conditions". LAM warmly congratulates everyone. It was a pleasure to work with all of you.

XXIII. International scientific conference of bachelor´s and master´s degree students

A student of our laboratory Soňa Vrbenská took 3rd place at the conference, where she presented the issue of microbial contamination and the possibility of cleaning the ventilation systems of prefabricated buildings. Soňa- congratulations!!!

Werner von Siemens Prize 2024

The Czech Siemens awarded the Werner von Siemens Prizes 2024 to the best students, young scientists and teachers. Our colleague Nikola Hanišáková was ranked in the TOP 5 dissertations dealing with Smart Infrastructure and Energy in the twenty-seventh edition of the Werner von Siemens competition. Niky - congratulations!!!

Field consultation at a biogas plant

We visited an agricultural biogas plant. We discussed microbially induced corrosion with the biogas plant operator and colleagues from the Brno University of Technology.
