Pavel presented at the X. UIMP Summer School on Integrative Synthetic Biology

Pavel was invited by his colleague and friend Dr. Jorge Barriuso from CIB (CSIC) Madrid to take part and present at the X. UIMP Summer School on Integrative Synthetic Biology (26.-29.8.2024) in Santander, the capital city of the beautiful Cantabria region in Spain. This year, the school for predoc students had a more applied focus. Pavel´s talk on Synthetic biology in bioprocess engineering introduced several MBL projects on the engineering of bacterial cell surface, metabolism, and autolysis for more efficient upstream, fermentation, and downstream processes. The school provided an excellent opportunity for thought-provoking discussions on fundamental and applied synthetic biology and was a great inspiration for MBL´s future activities.
