Pavel presented at the European Congress on Biotechnology in Rotterdam
Pavel gave an invited talk entitled Synthetically primed adaptation of bacterial metabolism to a non-native sugar substrate at the European Congress on Biotechnology organized by the European Federation of Biotechnology in Rotterdam. Besides giving a talk in the Frontiers of Biotechnology session, Pavel had the opportunity to meet many old friends and colleagues in the friendly and lively atmosphere of the oldest biotech congress on the continent. The congress was also an opportunity to get acquainted with the latest trends in biotechnology and bioengineering. The presentations of several plenary and keynote speakers such as Sang Yup Lee from KAIST or Michael Koepke from Lanzatech were particularly memorable. A later presentation heralded a new era in the use of carbon from CO2 as a substrate for biotechnology.
