MBL and its collaborators awarded two grants of Czech Science Foundation!
We are happy to share that two projects of Microbial Bioengineering Laboratory (one collaborative) were selected for funding by Czech Science Foundation. We will tailor Pseudomonas putida for biodegradation of lignocellulosic polymers and tame thermophilic environmental bacteria for bioplastic production using synthetic biology. The latter project will be conducted in collaboration with biotechnologists and bioinformaticians from Brno University of Technology (Stanislav Obruča - principal investigator, Petr Sedláček, Karel Sedlář) and MUNI Faculty of Informatics (David Šafránek). New Ph.D. and postdoc vacancies will be opened soon.
