NIH representative visits our lab
The Virology Research Group welcomed Dr. Sara E. Woodson from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to discuss ongoing research, future directions, and opportunities for international collaboration in translational virology.
On Friday, 10 April, the Virology Research Group at the Department of Microbiology hosted Dr. Sara E. Woodson, Program Director for Translational Research in Virology at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The visit took place together with representatives from the U.S. Embassy in Budapest and Prof. Gábor Kemenesi, Head of the National Laboratory of Virology in Pécs.
During a short seminar, members of the group introduced their current research projects, key scientific interests, and future directions. The discussion focused on translational virology, potential international collaborations, and opportunities to engage with research activities supported by U.S. funding agencies.
The programme continued with an informal meeting, providing space for scientific exchange, networking, and discussions on possible future collaborations.
